The Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal is a high-gain analog distortion pedal famous for its aggressive clipping and powerful Color Mix EQ. With both EQ controls pushed high, it produces the notorious buzzsaw midrange associated with classic Swedish death metal; at less extreme settings it can also deliver compressed hard-rock distortion, abrasive fuzz-like grind, and dense shoegaze texture.
