The Boss HM-3 Hyper Metal followed the HM-2 with the same compact Boss reliability and a four-knob layout built for heavy saturation. Its Low and High Color Mix controls let you push the bottom and top without the exact Swedish chainsaw recipe, making it useful for tighter hard rock, industrial scrape, and early-90s metal textures. It is not subtle, transparent, or boutique-polished; that is largely the point.
