The Boss PH-1r Phaser takes the warm four-stage movement of the early compact Boss phasers and adds Resonance for extra bite. It can stay smooth and chewy for rhythm work, or get more pronounced and vocal when the feedback comes up. It is simple, sturdy, and very much the practical side of vintage modulation.
