The EarthQuaker Devices Hoof is a hybrid germanium/silicon fuzz inspired by the Russian Big Muff branch, with a Shift control that moves the midrange instead of leaving you trapped in one scoop. It can be huge and sustaining, but it also has enough focus to survive a loud band without vanishing into expensive purple fog.
