The Vox V847 Wah is the modern production face of the classic Vox wah lineage: a treadle-controlled filter that turns pick attack into vowel movement. It is leaner and more vocal than many heavier modern wahs, with a sweep that can add rhythmic funk chops, singing lead emphasis, or vintage psychedelic motion. It is not a transparent utility pedal, and its traditional wah circuit can be placement-sensitive, but that narrow, expressive voice is exactly why players keep coming back to it.
